The shares of G K P Printing & Packaging Ltd were trading at Rs 28 a piece a year ago. In the early trading session of Monday, the stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 226 thereby giving a multibagger return of more than 680% in a year.

On Tuesday, till 11:30 am the stock was up by 0.84% and was trading at Rs 223.50. In the last five days, the stock has zoomed by approximately 5%.

It was because the board of the company recently announced that it will hold a meeting on August 1st, 2022, to discuss and approve the issuance of bonus shares, the increase in the Company’s authorized share capital, and the alteration of the capital clause in the Memorandum of Association in accordance with the 2013 Companies Act.

The stock has climbed by more than 26% in the past month. So far this year, the stock has gained more than 54% YTD. The stock was trading near its 52-week low of Rs 28 in July 2021.

Currently, the shares of G K P Printing & Packaging trade only on BSE. Recently the company announced that its Board of Directors has considered making an application for direct listing of the Company on the NSE platform.

G K P Printing & Packaging is one of the top makers of packaging worldwide, serving a variety of sectors, including garment exports, steel utensils, playing cards, liquor, toys, pharmaceuticals, printers, engineering, confectionery, and FMCG.

The company is also affiliated with some of the biggest names which include Tata Consultancy Services, Spectra International, Naaptol, ShopCJ, SM Foods, Almats Branding Solutions, Rediff.com, and Spectra International Limited.

On a standalone basis, the company reported total revenue of Rs 53.60 Crores up by 83% from Rs 29.47 Crores which it earned a year ago. The net profit of the company stood at Rs 0.81 as against Rs 0.78 crores in FY21. The total expense of the company has remained high as it stood at Rs 52.49 Crores in FY22 and Rs 28.37 Crores in FY21, thereby reducing the margins.
